Dingo Desk uses location services to help manage field teams, verify job site attendance, and improve scheduling efficiency.
Location Services

Section titled “Job Site Navigation”- View job site locations on a map
- Get directions with one tap
- See all jobs for the day organised by location
- Optimise travel routes between jobs
Location Verification
Section titled “Location Verification”When team members start and complete jobs, location data helps verify presence on-site:
- Timestamp and location recorded at job start
- Timestamp and location recorded at job completion
- Creates a complete audit trail
- Useful for dispute resolution and compliance
Geofencing
Section titled “Geofencing”Geofencing creates virtual boundaries around job sites, enabling automatic actions based on location.
How Geofencing Works
Section titled “How Geofencing Works”- A geofence boundary is set around a job site
- When a team member enters the boundary, the app can trigger actions
- When they leave, the app can log completion or send alerts

Geofence Warnings
Section titled “Geofence Warnings”The app can warn team members when:
- They are approaching the job site (reminder to prepare)
- They are leaving the geofence area before completing all tasks
- They are at the wrong location for their scheduled job
- They need to start or complete a job based on location

Location Permissions
Section titled “Location Permissions”Dingo Desk respects device permissions:
- While Using the App: Location tracked only when app is active
- Always: Location available for geofencing and background features
- Never: Location services disabled
Users can manage location permissions in their device settings.
Job Flow Location Verification
Section titled “Job Flow Location Verification”During job execution, the app can verify:
- Team member is at the correct job site
- Location matches the scheduled address
- Geofence boundary is respected
- Start and completion locations are logged
